Junior Chemical Technician

Summary:

The Jr. Chemical Technician provides support in chemical services, assisting with deliveries, testing, inventory, and maintenance of chemical systems. This entry-level role is designed to build foundational skills and knowledge in chemical handling and technical support. Travel is a daily requirement.

Facilitate open communication with their fellow employees, clients, and community partners. Attend and participate in meetings, work groups, team meetings, committees, workshops, individual training, and training conferences and seminars when assigned.

 

Obtain a working knowledge of and comply with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, the Employee Handbook, Personnel Policies and Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures, service plans and any other related policy and procedures.

 

Report to work at scheduled times and maintain acceptable attendance records as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

·         Assist in delivering chemical services under supervision.

·         Conduct basic chemical field and lab tests with guidance.

·         Maintain accurate records of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and delivery documentation.

·         Support in setting chemical flow rates and maintaining chemical injection pumps.

·         Aid in inventory control and organization within the warehouse.

·         Perform routine warehouse cleaning and other organizational tasks.

·         Participate in training to develop technical and professional skills.

 

Performs other duties as assigned, reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.

Qualifications

·         Basic understanding of chemical safety and handling (training provided).

·         Strong organizational and time-management skills.

·         A team-oriented attitude with a focus on collaboration.

·         Ability to follow instructions and maintain a high level of attention to detail.

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:

·         High School Diploma or equivalent

Prior experience in a technical, warehouse, or delivery role is a plus.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

·         Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.

·         Willingness to acquire a CDL with Hazmat Endorsement (training may be provided).

·         Safe Land Training or equivalent is a plus (or must obtain upon hire).

Employment Conditional upon the Results of the Following: 

•         Must be able to pass to preemployment drug testing and random drug testing throughout the employment period

•         Must possess maintain a clean MVR throughout employment

•         Must be able to clear a pre-employment background check
