Business Development Manager

Summary:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and cultivating relationships with clients all while driving growth for the organization. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving revenue and sales targets. There will also be a strong emphasis within this position to be an integral point of contact within the Ute Indian Tribal community. Travel will be required.

Facilitate open communication with their fellow employees, clients, and community partners. Attend and participate in meetings, work groups, team meetings, committees, workshops, individual training, and training conferences and seminars when assigned.

 

Obtain a working knowledge of and comply with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, the Employee Handbook, Personnel Policies and Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures, service plans and any other related policy and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Client Relationship Management:

·         Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients.

·         Understand client needs and tailor solutions to meet their specific requirements.

·         Identify potential clients and business partners through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and online research.

·         Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities.

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience.

 

Tribal Community Relations:

·         Serve as a liaison between the company and the Ute Indian tribal community to ensure positive relations and cooperation.

·         Serve as a community spokesperson for the company, advocating for its interests and goals in a professional and respectful manner.

·         Promote awareness and understanding of company programs and initiatives through engaging and informative presentations to Tribal membership.

 

Strategic Planning:

·         Work with senior management to develop and implement business development plans and strategies.

·         Set short-term and long-term goals for the department and track progress.

·         Manage the business development budget effectively and efficiently.

·         Allocate resources to achieve the best return on investment.

 

Sales and Revenue Growth:

·         Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.

·         Present and negotiate business proposals, contracts, and agreements.

·         Regularly update management on sales and business development activities through reports and presentations.

·         Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions.

·         Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.

·         Analyze market data and competition to develop effective strategies for business growth.

 

Performs other duties as assigned and reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.

Qualifications

·         Must have demonstrated success with a team approach.

Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

Education and Experience:

·         Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred (MBA or post graduate equivalent, highly preferred).

·         Proven track record in business development and sales, with a minimum of six (5) years of relevant experience.

·         Strong understanding of the industry, market dynamics, and customer needs.

·         Cultural sensitivity and knowledge of tribal traditions and values.

·         Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

·         Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

·         Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools.

·         Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·         Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.

Adaptability and willingness to travel as needed.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:


Employment Conditional upon the Results of the Following: 

•         Must be able to pass to preemployment drug testing and random drug testing throughout the employment period

•         Must possess maintain a clean MVR throughout employment

•         Must be able to clear a pre-employment background check
